Capable of delivering a full 25 amps (when input voltage is above 11V), the IDC25XIQ suits mid-sized auxiliary battery systems in 4WDs, caravans, and camper trailers. It maintains a consistent charge whether you’re using solar, alternator, or both.

Automatically prioritises solar power to reduce alternator load and fuel consumption. If solar input is insufficient, the IDC25XIQ draws from both sources simultaneously for maximum charge performance.
- Multi-Chemistry Support
Compatible with LiFePO₄, AGM, Gel, Wet, and Calcium batteries. Each chemistry has its own tailored charging profile - including equalisation mode for Calcium and a lithium wake-up feature for BMS-protected batteries.
- MPPT Solar Charging
Integrated Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) ensures maximum solar efficiency, even in low light. No external solar regulator is required - even with portable solar panels (regulators must be bypassed).
- Fully Sealed IP68/IP69K Housing

Installation Notes:
Recommended Cable Sizes (up to 12m runs):
- Alternator Input: 8mm² (8 B&S)
- Solar Input: 8mm² (8 B&S)
- Aux Battery Output: 8mm² (8 B&S)
- Ground: 8mm² (8 B&S)
- Ignition/LIN/TEMP/LED: 1–1.5mm²
Fusing Requirements:
- Install 50A fuses on both input and output cables as close to the battery terminals as possible. Use fuse holders like FK25A if desired.
Smart Alternator Connection:
- For vehicles with variable-voltage alternators, connect the ignition input to a switched ignition source and include a 1–2A fuse.
Solar Panel Setup:
- Connect panels directly to the solar input terminal. If using a portable solar panel with a built-in regulator, bypass the regulator to allow the IDC25XIQ’s MPPT to operate.
Temperature Sensor:
- Use the included 5m temperature loom for accurate thermal compensation. Attach the sensor to the battery case, not the terminal.
External LED Status Output:
- Optional. The pink LED wire provides ~5mA to power an indicator LED (not included). Connect LED positive to the wire and ground the negative side.
