The Projecta PDC25 is designed for versatile mounting and is suitable for engine bay installation thanks to its fully sealed, IP67-rated construction. For best results, mount it away from direct heat sources such as exhaust manifolds or turbochargers, as charging output will reduce if ambient temperatures exceed 55°C. Use quality cable sized for run length; 8 B&S (8 mm²) is a typical minimum for shorter runs, with heavier cable for longer distances to minimise voltage drop. Fuse both input and output close to the battery (commonly 50A) and attach the supplied temperature sensor directly to the battery for accurate compensation.
